Fine Grind Cafe in St. Catdarines

Awesome local coffee and boardgame cafe. The owner was super friendly and has excellent iced coffee and vegan milkshakes. The cafe also sell Fairtrade coffee with profits that are shared with the local farmers in Nicaragua. A must visit if you are in downtown St. Catherines!

The atmosphere here is great. I dropped in for an Earl Grey tea while waiting for the Santa Claus Parade to start and it was awesome. They have a good selection of board games to play as well while you enjoy you coffee/tea or whatever you are inclined to have. I would highly recommend going here if you like good coffee and excellent staff.

Tried the Strawberry Lemonade and the Chocolate Peanut butter milkshake today. The proprietor was incredibly kind and clearly passionate about his offerings which showed in the product. Everything was delicious and refreshing. The perfect place to go for a quick drink or a prolonged chat.

Kind of a small place but had a great Chia milk shake

This place has The Best Hot Chocolate and Milkshakes in town. They melt down real chocolate to use in their hot chocolate and chocolate milkshakes and it makes it that much better. The atmosphere is really calm and quiet so it's the perfect place to relax or study and the customer service is great. The only draw back is that the prices are a little high but that's understandable because the food quality is just as high. Overall a great experience should be expected.

Great, chill atmosphere. Awesome hot chocolate. They have board games and books and it's a lovely place to spend some time.

I love the atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is a lounge area with couches and shelves full of books. The owner is happy to let you borrow a book if you find something that interests you. Good pizza and salad. Reasonable prices.

For $5, we ordered a double pot of tea and between the two of us, it lasted for over an hour. And really nice service. It's a quaint coffee shop and we got tea served in old fashioned tea cups. Just loved it.

Fine Grind is an oasis. Great atmosphere, great service, and an ample supply of great books, graphic novels, and comic books to read while you enjoy a coffee, tea, or vegan milkshake plus a delicious plate of nachos and a homemade cookie or Skor square.

A terrific place with friendly people from a bygone era. All homemade food and drink (for example, when you order a mocha, Rob doesn't use a syrup but he will melt real chocolate). Spend some time and enjoy an eclectic book from the collection or play a board game with friends.

In addition to all the good things everyone else has said, I'd like to note the excellent choice of music.

This is a wonderful gem in St. Catharines with great coffee, unique charm and friendly service. I remember hearing Michelle Bellerose play her songs here some years ago. It's a great central location as well. St. Catharines has lost some of its best cafe's such as The Cool Moose, Coffee Culture and Strega. So let's hope this one survives.

No decaffeinated coffee and my companion couldn't have caffeine. Very disappointing.

I love going to this cafe! The guy who owns it is so nice, and all the staff I have met have been great. The coffee is good (and strong!) and the other specialty drinks do not disappoint (the chai latte is my favourite). The food is also good. I wouldn't go there for a meal, but it's great for a light snack.

Always a nice place to be. Calm, friendly service with a empathetic owner. Interesting menu with great milkshakes and hot chocolate made with real melted chocolate. Kind of a hipster place which is fine. Its a quiet cafe great for reading. Often has pop up shops on the weekends.
